Why Are Some People So Nosey?

I’m beginning to think it’s for two reasons.

Some love to gossip. It makes them feel good about themselves to put other people down or put people in their place.

Some use what they find out in order to manipulate others into doing their bidding. This can be especially bad when after using someone they then cast them aside.
