Canadian Taxes

There were taxes 100 years ago. But they were much lower And:

There was no CPP, no Unemployment Insurance, no OHIP, no GIS, no Gains, no disabilty benefits, no Survivor's pension, no death benefits etc. etc. Life was very hard and people didn't live as long as we do.

If people would like to see what it would be like if we paid a lot less taxes, take a drive out to an Indian reservation and look around. They pay a lot less taxes and look what they get for it. It would be worse if we all didn't pay taxes. The money has to come from somewhere.
