Ignorance breeds fear. Fear breeds hate. Hate breeds violence.

Narcissists have a grossly inflated sense of their own abilities and importance; an insatiable need to be admired; and an exaggerated sense of entitlement. They are insecure. If it does not fit their sense of self, it must be devalued, denied and avoided at all costs. If not, they could act out violently.
